Back in 2023 we were asked to help bring to life a project headed by Andres Branco, head honcho at Wavey Garms, a brand synonymous to the style and influence of the fashion, graffiti and rave subcultures in London.
The event Andreas curated was in conduction with sportswear super-brand Lacoste's 90th anniversary. The Wavey Garms team "delved into the brand's deep subcultural heritage" and ran a two-week popup shop, which included workshops and live events, along with a stunning collection of "over 400 of the rarest vintage Lacoste pieces". The aim was to "resonate with the gen-z & millennial demographic" and "solidify Lacoste within youth culture."
UK graffiti artists TOX, PETRO, and HENRY HOTROCC were commissioned to design a Lacoste inspired polo shirt that was printed live at the popup shop on the first weekend it was open. This is where we stepped in to help.
The event was a great success with a memorable queue of people arriving to buy the Tox polo's whilst we were setting up on the first day. The Petro and Henry Hotrocc designs were detailed 4 colour prints that got equal praise for their personal take on Lacoste's timeless style.
The printing went without a hitch, due to the rigorous planning we carried out ahead of the event, which was held at the Truman Brewery on Bricklane in East London.
Below are a few photos from the event, as-well-as, a few showing the test-run set up we did in the old studio, in Hither Green.
