Once your design is finished, deciding the scale and placement to best suit the garment is key to getting the aesthetic you are looking for. The following information will help you work this out before going to print.

The process for working this out is as follows:

  1. Click here and download one of our 1:1 scale garment templates.

  2. Drop your artwork into the Adobe Illustrator document and scale to desired size.

  3. Once you are happy with it, print out the design to the exact scale.

  4. Next, lay it out over a spare t-shirt. You’ll see straight away if it's too big or small.

  5. If the size needs to change, go back to the template and repeat steps 2 - 4.

You can also use this print-out to work out the exact placement of the design on the garment. Below are some diagrams illustrating the most commonly used placements.
