At the time of writing this, the show we did at G-Shock was 11 years ago. Mad to think we are still running this business. Looking back at moments like this sits as a reminder to what's been achieved and also to remember to jump on opportunities when they come your way.

This event was very much one of those moments. I can't actually remember how it all got patterned up to be honest. I think Luke from Urban Nerds hit us up on email and asked if we wanted to fill a slot at the G-Shock East store in the Truman Brewery. This shop has long since gone now.

One thing I do remember was that we had to create the artwork for the show rapido style. Definitely did some night shifts to get everything finished on time. We printed a pattern design onto two big pieces of glass as-well-as a jumbo screen print on paper, which was a T-shirt design of ours. The glass prints were based on tile patterns from the Underground. It was proper mission and I loved smashing out the work to a tight deadline. At the time, doing stuff like this kinda sucks, but once you get everything over the finish line, a huge sense of accomplishment is felt. It's like "yeah, we fucking did it!! Let's do it again.".

The install was a jokes too. We made a big floating wall for the artwork to be hung on, that needed to be mounted on one of the walls in the shop. It was about 2.5 meters wide and 1.5 meters high. As we were drilling the holes in the wall to secure the hanging batons, one of the guys from This Is My Costume came in to tell us we had drilled right through the wall to the bar next door (Bar 1001). They were in there having a drink with some pals. We sheepishly went round to see what the damage was, luckily it was pretty minor but we had pocked a hole through the mural painted on the other side which was by Word To Mother, whoops.

A couple of days after the artwork installation, we had a party!! It was sick!! Loads of heads came through, there was music, beer, food. It was a vibe. If I'm honest, I got quite drunk and the finer details of the evening are a bit skew-whiff, but luckily someone had a camera and shot a load of photos. So I don't need to explain anything, you can just have a look at the picture below, you're welcome!

Big love to all that came to this event and to everyone who was involved in making it happen xxx
